A beam is a horizontal structural element that is capable of withstanding load primarily by resisting bending. Both H & I Beams are widely used in the construction industry to provide support for buildings and load-bearing walls. They are available in a variety of standard sizes and selected based on the applied load for the required application. I-beams may be used both as beams and as columns.

Traditionally steel reinforcements are fabricated in the construction sites using manually operated machines and onsite labors, which is not a systematic and not cost efficient approach compared to the new ways of fabrication processes.
